windows xp log on error hlp plz

ok i have windows xp i made a mistake in admin setup.what happened is when i boot i get the loading screen but in doesnt go to log in screen
so i booted again with f8 and went into users kept my pass word didnt tick anyboxes booted again but this time it asked for user name and paasword
i know the password but i didnt uave a user name now im stuck even when i do an f8 it still asks for user. to cut a long story short i have two hd so i put windows on that the second drive, now how can i put hdo right to boot from it

try administrator+password or leave user blank and put in password this worked for me

it didnt work, as i have booted from second is there a way i can alter a file on c: drive my normal boot drive to be able to boot properly without it asking me for my user name and password.like i said f8 safe mode still asks for user and password. i have my password but i dont have a user name set

boot into console mode,
browse into "Documents and Settings",
there you will find a named folder (e.g. Fender), this folder name is your user name;

i sorted it out, all i had to do was when im at the log on screen and i have toi type in user name. you just type the word - (administrator) as user name the n your password i didnt know that it only works though if you have not altered
the original setting when installed xp. i hope this will help a few people who might find themselves in a similar position
