windows-xp Appearance

hi i am having trouble with the appearance of the colors of all my appearance boxes when i use windows xp theme the taskbar and all the other boxes all come up black and when i change the color theme it does exactly the same the only one that works is windows classic style but the winows xp style will not go either silver ,green or blue can anybody please help me as i have been so frustrated trying too change it all the time and it looks woeful with the classic style with xp it would be greatly appreciated if someone could please help me out

Reinstall directx and then reinstall your vga card drivers.

If you have an Nvidia card then you´ll be better desintalling your current drivers and then proceeding with the above.
