windows movie maker2 2 to svcd

can anyone help? i am trying to convert a wmm (i think) to either vcd or svcd. i have read some posts which tell me to use tmpeg. i have down loaded the latest version but it still wont convert. it asks for a video file and an audio file but i have neither. what i am trying to do is put photos on a cd with loads of glitz.... any help would be greatly appreciated...

There isn't any usable way to convert windows media v.9 streams to compliant mpeg (maybe there will be one in the near future- illegal of course)... just avoid using the Microsoft crap next time.

scarecrow thanks for your reply. can u reccomend an excellent software that does titles and stuff so i can burn my pics to cd....i know this site is warez free and if i have over stepped the mark i di appologise.....

nosher i can recommend PRO Show Gold, this allowa all the bells and whistles and can then create a disc of all types VCD SVCD DVD self executing disc for pc, a search using google wil find the demo

There's not only TMPgenc which can do that... but it needs the help of third party codecs which are both illegal and only partly working. I guess that celtic_druid has installed something like the k-lite codec pack from Kazaalite site, right? This pack is anything else than legal...
As for pic2cd software I like the stuff from the usual suspects: Ulead. They always make exhellent software which is as esy to use as possible. The one in mind is DVD Picture Show 2.

You would be sooooo wrong then. I have never ever, ever, ever, ever installed any codec packs and find the suggestion that I would entirely distastfull. There are probably hundreds of posts made by me in various forums going back months/years recommending people not install codec packs. Anyway I can't think of anything illegal that I would currently have installed that would help TMPGEnc convert wmv9. I would assume that TMPGEnc is just using the MS DMO decoders.
