Windows Explorer "Incorrect Function" error with a CD burned with CDRWin

After I burned an image to a CD using CDRWin 3.8g, I found that this CD can't be read with any CDROM drive (including the burner itself).

After inserting the CD into the CDROM, and trying to browse it with Windows Explorer, I get the error message "Incorrect Function". No matter which PC I tested this CD with, I always get this error message.

I tried different medias, and burning at 4x, but the result was always the same.

My system:
Plextor 24/10/40 IDE firmware 1.03
Windows 2000 Pro SP2

TIA!

I heard this rumor, but couldn't believe it.

Going to do what you suggested and then post the result.

Thanks!

Solved!

And you were right, in my 2nd PC I had CDRWin registered with another serial, and burning the same images worked. So I copied the registration file to the folder of CDRWin in the 1st PC, and by that using the serial from the 2nd PC.

I worked !!!

Those clever bastards :)
