I´m trying to use an app wich needs netbeui protocol to be installed in windows 2000 and then that you configure the lana number for netbeui to #000, in NT this was a simple task but in win2k you must use a command line called lanacfg.exe that I already obtained from Microsoft site, my problem is that I don´t understand very well how this works, so does any one have already use this or has an idea that how it works?
If you just run lanacfg from a DOS prompt the list of options for the command line appears as follows:
showlanadiag: shows lana status
setlananumber: sets and changes lana numbers
showlanapaths: shows the status of lana paths
So I know that to change the lana number it must be used "lanacfg setlananumber <old number> <new number>" specifically what I don´t understand is how to set netbeui to #000 because only number from 0 to 10 are accepted and netbeui is shown in more than one path.
Hope that someone with much more knowledge can give me some help with this.
Thanks
