Winamp2.95 bug???

First,i just went to a winamp site(forum)and noticed that 2.91 is still last one???They are not fastest with updates from before, but now i`m thinking is it couse its still buggy--or couse those recent problems with original developer??Couse with 2.95(i think earlier vewrsions were problem-freefor me)i having those problems; When close winamp i1m getting a strong(metalic)tone..Not always..but once in a 4-5 times? And second one--which is really annoying  Also if somebody can check this too(on your pc);Open winamp(2.95),open one mp3 file(play),and while it play, try to play another file(mpc or ape)and you will hear a noise(like your cable is ""touching""something)--Better keep your volume down for second bug couse sound is not pleasent--at all......I was thinking that m-audio drivers are the problem, couse winamp was only player at all time for audio-video..But i downloaded newest foobar and its problem-free for those mentioned""possiblle bugs""""....Btw its a version 0.7 beta9 and really, from version0.6(which i tryed)is a big progress.....Its still very ugly, but its a better then ever :) its a really kick-ass player :) ..Check it out guys--its really good!!

This released version of 2.95 has been established to be a beta version bud. So bugs are likely until the real v2.95 comes out. ;)

Even the v2.92 was not an official Nullsoft release. It is stable and probably a final version though. It seems it was leaked and was most likely Justin Frankel's way of saying "screw you AOL/Time Warner" when he resigned.

Now that Justin's gone, Nullsoft probably lost their best asset.

BTW, I'm using version v2.92 and cannot reproduce the problem you describe bud. But yes, v2.91 is the last official release from Nullsoft.

I just installed a 2.91 and evrything is perfect....So its either a 2.92(probably not as you tested)or 2.95(probably as other peole have complained for diffrent things on their official forum)..So i guess will stay on this one......And from now on,probably just official releases :) Btw,thanks for trying to reproduce bug........

Ok,here is a thing tested as i can reproduce the problem everytime(unfortanetely)...So problem as above said--When i use direct sound output==doesent matter if i go with a primary driver output or m-audio(sound card drivers)),its happening every single time...When i switch to ""waveout output""'in preferance,it works perfect(everything works normal)....So could be winamp or my sound card have a problem with a direct sound????

Thanks for your information...now i know what screwed up my sound system...2.91 fixed the problems with my Haupauge WinTV Fm Tv-card sound problems too.

No real probs with Frankel's 2.92 release here, either... never tried 2.95.
The only problem I've spotted to 2.92 is that it sometimes causes a page fault error to the MEXP plugin- but nevertheless neither MEXP, nor Winamp crashes after that.

2.95 is just great download it from winampheaven i have'nt detected any bugs

its realy good. :D
In fact, exhellent: 1. MEXP does not load at all, 2.mpc files do not play back by using the latest 'recommended" Hydrogenaudio plugin, 3. aac playback is horribly choppy, 4. Adapt-X crashes after a few seconds, 5. Geiss visualization theme runs horribly slowly...

Back to 2.92, in fact I doubt if the guys there will ever make a working 2.95 or 2.99999 or... without Frankel aid- so 2.91 and/or 2.92 should be considered as the LAST good winamp releases.
