Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the most out of your computer.

You must be running a Microsoft Windows operating system in order to use Windows Update.

ROFL!

I don't believe I just read this! Woke up about 3am thinking about the abovementioned problem and the only thing that came to mind was the 'ole Homer Simpson phrase........

Not the sort of info you really wanted to know, but I thought it was particularly wierd

Hmmm........Great minds think alike....

i stil cant update i even reformatted the drive my other pc with win98se updates fine both are registered as well i tried the update patch still wouldnt work i cant figure it anyone know what the latest patches i should have are and have a link to them:(

Fender U could try this

Goto the windoze update site & click the link on the left hand side that says Personalise Windows Update, then check the box that says Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See Also & then click Save settings

This sohuld then allow U 2 click Windows Update Catalogue which will take U 2 a page that allows U 2 search 4 updates 4 Ur system, think it also allows U 2 download the updates 2 HD

Have just tried this myself, so it should work 4 U:)

Hope it Helps
