Win2000 Pro problem

Hi all, :D

My system is Win2K pro.

Before I install Pinnacle IC 7.0SE (bundled with TDK DVD Writer), CDs can be inserted and recognised.

After installing the IC software, the system will not mount any CD. Ie, after inserting a CD (data or audio, anything else), it will say there's no CD in it.

With the CD inside, and upon a reboot, the system recognises it.

Why is this so? How could I solve the problem? Thx! :)

It's the entire InstantCD+DVD. Initially, I suspected the "VOBID InstantDrive CD SCSI Cdrom Device". I disabled it, but still the problem persists... Any suggestion? TIA! :)

I suspect that your drive is locked by InstantWrite,it's a very intrusive packetwriter that conflicts with a lot of other software on win2k....on XP,there are less probs...

Rightclick your burner's icon under explorer--properties, pick the "settings" tab, disable Instant Write, eject the media and load it again. Now you should be able to mount the blank media properly.

Another one???

This worked for me...
Uninstall entire bundle... Reboot...
Upon installation deselect INSTANT DRIVE... This one made most of the mess to me... I got used NOT TO HAVE IT...

The only thing that you can loose is TIME, so try this out.
