I'm having a strange problem with zip files on XP. It's a tad hard to explain to I’ll give you the scenario:
1. use winzip to zip some files.
2. winzip does it's thing and creates the zip file.
3. I click on the newly created zip file and no details are shown in the side window. If I click on it left or right the whole system locks up. not even ctrl-alt-del works.
So the system sits there frozen for 3-5mins and then suddenly comes back to life showing the file details and can be opened fine.
The thing is, this ONLY happens to large files +100mb. Small 1-2mb files work fine. It's only the big files.
This also happens with Self-extracting zip files.
