Win 2000 Server Password Override

Both of the above options (as well as many others) work just fine for changing the password. A harder problem of course is learning an existing password.

is there a way to learn a password? because my father got also only a user account, running xp, if he could know the pass he could set up a higher right account for himself .-D
Would be gr8 if i could help him doing so.

there are by the way some office 97 bugs allowing to do so, butthey have n t got it installed

You could use ERD and boot - and then use the locksmith tool, under an NTFS environment., not difficult.
This is no great effort, right.
But imagine the case you're not allowed to boot another OS and you can't do anything about it, what then?
If I'm able to enter the computer's BIOS and modify the boot sequence to "floppy,hd", I've already won.
I just need NTFSDOS Pro and pwdump2 then to get the hashes, nothing else.

Btw: I need a reliable good BIOS cracking or resetting tool for newer Phoenix BIOS versions as used in those Fujitsu Siemens desktop PC's. The tool has to work from within a cmd shell in W2K. any suggestions?
