cd ripper
First, all rippers listed here are good-decent rippers like db feurio, audiograbber, but two are different..cdex and eac..
You should have a better extraction with cdex then with other rippers, but i urge you to reconsider eac againit is a complex as you said..but i can be learned-no questions about that
Cdex got some superb mode for extraction too,but nothing beats secure ripping with eac--nothing is better currently-period.
I had a hard time too with eac first, took some time,but..hey;it was worth it...
Also eac advantages too..
Best cdripper-even can do those copyprotected cds(depend on hardware too)
Great frontend for all compression types(lossy+lossless)
It can rip, encode and tag in one step..
you can go with a ""user defined encoder""and make a custom compression preset you like..
its got burning support too, which works great if your burner is supported
IT can make a real image-copy of your cd(thats a best way of copy audiocds)
It will adjust totally to your drive by analyzing it and finding which mode will work the best for that burner which you got..
And much much more..
Probably all of us had no easy time configuring properly eac first time, but after that is a matter of minutes to do it again..
and as said above, after configuring-you can make a profile,so next time you just load it-and its done..
Also,i would strongly advice agains downloading allready made made profiles from any sites which are offering it;For exampe if a profile got checked cdtext and your burner drive doesent support it,eac can freeze..
You should try to make your own profile, with wizard its so easy, you dont need to know much;Anyway good luck with any of those rippers,if you need addional help,we`ll be glad to help you...
So,go for..make that eac kickin`
