I was using TDK CDRs for a while but I just realised they are quite expensive.
ANy other make can be burned using this drive ?

Thanks in advance.

Well I use Intenso PREMIUM GRADE A CDR 700MB...Mr Data AudioCD..And Verbatim data life plus 700mb used to be very good when I used to buy these..

The Ltr-24102B is the most media tolerant burner ever released. It was specifically optimised for burning total c**p media at its max speed of 24x (rated speed is irrelevant).

In short, with that burner, you can use just about any cdrs at all, no matter how cheap and nasty, and still get good results. Works superbly with good cdrs like Verb dlps (super azo) too, of course. :)

(As netman likes to say: "It will just about burn a piece of toast!") :D

The only media I have tried on it and are not liked, are the new 48X certified Prodisk media (also stamped as Intenso, Silver Circle and other stamps). All others burn just fine.
Notice that the Prodisk/Intensos are not bad at all (they burn fine on my other burner), it's just that the 24012b (firmware 5S5A) does not like them, for some reason.

Thanks for the input.

Since my post I found somewhere on the web the official list of recommended medias.
I also found some pretty cheap Taiyo Yuden CDRs so I'll give them a go.

Verbatim DLP seem to be Super AZO (deep blue?) - I thought Liteon's were said not to like AZO media
The Verbatim DateLifePlus 700MB disk I never had any problems on ANY of my drivers... Liteon 40x and my Sony 140e mind you the speed rating of these disk are 1x-16x only a few left since Intenso are cheap to buy and do a very good job on my drivers. So yes maybe the new range Verbatim used on Liteon are total crap.
