Hi iconone, Welcome to our forum! :cool:

sorry, i never heard from a problem like yours;
try to uninstall Nero completely, download Nero's latest Demo and install it without a key just in Demo mode; try the file button again and see if it works;
btw is Nero 6 not really recommendable, Nero 5.5.10.42 or 5.5.10.54 are still the favorites;

That´s your opinion...Nero 6 is doing fine here. ;)

@iconone...please don´t get me wrong but sometimes a non legit key gives you some problems

Same here too, but only in my 2000 vmware machine, where everything is burned in the virtual drive as .nrg format (Vmware seems unable to burn anything under 2000/XP, only under ME/9X). I simply convert .nrg to bin/cue and burn them under Linux without any problems.
Under plain 2000 and using direct burn, Nero 6 is a disaster.

AS a burning app, it is rubbish... not bad as a mastering app at all.
I have all WinOnCD releases, and 5.05 PE final is mighty fine (version 6 is a very bad joke)- I could use it, but I'm better served by my current RecordNowMax+ Discjuggler combo.

The 23 release of Nero 6 is working well for me so far... they even seem to have fixed the problem with burning DVD Video.
