Sygate Firewall
when I installed sygate firewall, the first thing that set off the alarm was Microsoft Qload...whatever the heck that is. I remember seeing something about it, but I don't recall what exactly it is. I am running Windows 2000 SP-2. I just told the program to accept this as ok.
I had several other problems with the Sygate Pro firewall, it's a shame though, because it seems to be very good. I had several instances of the settings I chose not remaining in affect. They would revert back to the default settings after I changed them.
Also, there are some settings that will screw up your Internet Explorer Browser if trying to access MSN passport sites, Hotmail etc. It even changed the way the fonts were displayed in the browser when the "Stealth Mode" and "anti-IP" options were enabled.
Then, I had a problems where something was actually shutting down the program completely! And I don't have any clue what was doing it. Maybe they detected that I was using a downloaded serial # for it, and maybe it was "calling home" and they decided to f**k with me.
I was really disappointed because I wanted to use Sygate Personal Firewall Pro.
