you don't REALLY WANNA KNOW the answer to that do u !? lol

ROXIO is one of the most HATED software on the net and out in real life well at least on this forum as it causes more hassle than its worth

although some people swear by it as the best thing ever ?!

there are cheaper better programs out there that do the same thing ... even FREEWARE tools :)

but thats just my opinion :)

Just my luck! although being a complete novice in the word of DVD copying I did happen to find its really really easy to use and even managed to back up a film with the free dvd+r that came with my DVD drive!

could some media types not work on roxio, but say work fine with other software or does that ultimately come down to the DVD drive you are using?

Thanks

Friendly advice

Anydvd is ok-i tryed it and it does what is supposed to do :)
But,roxio is one piece of crap which is even impossible to uninstall as it leaves 100`s of entrys in register, and as soon as you got time uninstall it-even better is to format the drive to completely destroy the enemy and start using some good software after that :) :) :)

I actually like the Roxio software - trouble is, very little other software does - the worst feature of Roxio is the negative interaction with most other software.

Show me a current application that isn't a registry thug, other than the rare delight of the few "no-install" applications.

That said, I'm now a Nero user, though I did like WinonCd 5 (Cequadrat/Roxio), the 4 hour freebie from a while back, until that suffered a negative interaction... to be honest, I've put my reinstall (and move to XP) off for far too long, and I know I have a pretty bad case of "Windows rot" ... you know, how a system gets progressively slower and less reliable from all the junk left behind by uninstalls, the not fully comptible version updates, version skew on system DLLs etc. I't'll get done this year ... maybe.
