What Program Should I Use

When I use smart ripper to rip a DVD it rips the video into a file And the audio into a file. my question is i want to take parts of the sound track and make them into MP3`s for my kids to use with ther mp3 players. I have all the software imaginable so feel free to suggest what ever. any help would be appreciated.

there are several ways to do this

if you have the AC3 audio file demuxed you can use HeadAC3he to compress it to MP3, in blocks you select, or the whole file and use an audio editor for MP3 (Sound Forge or any other) to cut out the sections you want

I remember there was a recent thread here with a similar question were you will find more answers

Thanks for the Info used the search feature to find the threads for headAC3 and found lots of info THANKS For The Info Again

you are very welcome, hope you manage to make headAC3he to work for you, just be sure to follow all the directions provided in the author's site (h**p://darkav.de.vu/) about how to setup the program (Make sure you copy all the extra required DLLs into HeadAC3he's directory). Also doing some simple searches in Google will bring you to guides about how to use this nice prog.

Other possibility would be this other prog BeSweet (d/l from _www.doom9.net) but I haven't tryied it.
