What is the Best/Using less RAM PopUp Stopper in your opinion?

When going to porno sites or searching for crackz, a popup-stopper software is necessary!

I use Pop-Up Stopper:
_http://www.popupstopper.net/product_dpps.html

It works well (free version) but when it's running it sucks 6,53MB of memory, together with 3% of my system resources

Maybe that may sound (and may as well be) not that lot actually.
Just wondered whether any of you know some other working popup appz...less sucking!

Other stoppers (not free) are, for example:

Bannerzapper: _http://www.bannerzapper.net/

BanPopUp: _http://www.oiisoft.com/BanPopup/BanPopup.htm

But I don't know whether they work, or what.
Or if there is any crack for them on the Web.

Any info/opinion?

Thanks!

I use popup ad filter which works fine for me.
Dont know how much RAM it uses but I havent had a problem with it.
I'm on win 98 128mb RAM.
If u search this site youll probably find a link for it. If not try google.

PS dont use it while surfing friendly sites (ie like this one) as its the popups that help pay the bills!

I use SurfPal. Eliminates popups well...plus it has many other features: browser cashe and history cleaning, cookie cleaning, auto complete, hot links...all from the toolbar.

Sadly, now its $34.95. When I purchased mine it was $14.95. Still...price is not bad considering what you get. Suppose you could find a keygen for it as well. ;)

I have tried quite afew Popup utils including Popup Ad Filter, Ad Muncher and 5-6 others and the 2 I mention here work quite well, except that they all kill my Winsock and always have to reboot the system to be able to connect to internet again. I am running Win98, 512M memory, and cable modem etc.

Those are beautiful programs except they love to eat my internet connection. I think I have tried Popup Ad Stopper too but not so sure.

Oh thank you mitrache!!! I am now using an older version (1.0) of Surfpal. This crack will work with latest Surfpal 2.80????

I once tried an older crack but it wouldnt work. After I entered the serial it would work for a day or two at most and then it would ask for registration all over again. I was suspecting that it was phoning home.

mitrache you have used this crack for over a month right?!!!

Thanks for the answers and the crack

Don't thank me, I did not put this KG on site. OLDY did it.
Uhhh......thanks to OLDY then. But I'm confused......so you did not post the above it was OLDY and you did not use this SurfPal crack? Or are you being modest because he gave you crack?

I just want to make sure from someone who used it that it works (especially more than 30 days) and is not some sort of April fools crapola!

Surf Pal

For me is a working software, the kg I took it from Popup tread and Oldy was the one that put it on site.About 30 days limit for trial I can not tell you much. Why don't you ask Oldy?

Sorry misunderstood.....thought you were saying you didnt post the crack at all. I will message Oldy thank you! :D

SurfPal

The SurfPal crack is not an April fool. I stopped that crap years ago.

The KeyGen works on SurfPal 2.8 (I don't know about previous versions coz I haven't tested it) using Windows 2000 SP2. I'm sure the O/S shouldn't affect the KeyGen functioning - but you you never know.

It removes the 30 trial and all ads, in other words - it makes it fullly functioning. Run Ad-Aware after installation to check if it has loaded any spyware.

I just read the info about Surf Pal here, also downloaded the crack or KG (whatever the attachment was) and don't know if I used the KG or crack downloaded from this board or not but I try the Surf Pal which seems to handle the memory quite nicely (no Winsock problem for many hours) but just tried a site with heavy pops and it doesn't do very well (I heard 5-6 beeps then 3-4 porn windows popped right up, so I guess it did stop few but not all).

I know Popup Ad Filter, Ad Muncher work quite well except they cause Winsock problem on my system.
