What is runtime error -2147203637 (800445cb)?

As soon as I saved a project file with a long name, this error showed up with a crash and DVDStripper will no longer run. I've tried running from different directories to no avail.

How to get rid of this? Should I remove all the DVDStripper registry entries?

Hey Fred, got the same problem here bro. I tried saving with a kinda long file name and I keep getting the error you got whenever I try to open the program and then the program shuts off when I click the "okay" from the runtime warning. Can anyone help? it would be greatly appreciated, oh and GREAT program by the way! (Other than this little mishap) Oh by the way, it says CMruList component failure, whatever the heck that means.

Hi All!

i can confirm this a bug in the MRUClass, this will be fixed in the next release of DS. For now if you experiencing this issue please use the attached reg file to clean the mru list in the registry and dont use Filenames for saving projects at the moment that are longer then 20 chars. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Greetnx

I had the same problem

I used regedit, walked through the registry to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MXTMG\DVDStripper\MRU Files

and found the first prj file, which was the one with the name that was too long. I changed the value to a shorter name, and then renamed the .prj file on my hard disk in my C:\Program Files\DVDStripper directory to the identical shorter name. Now the program starts fine.

I would recommend this to anybody who feels comfortable with regedit and uses it regularly, but not to anybody else.

Now that it starts, I went to Emergency and clicked on Recover from ProjectFile. It says that it was successful. Everything seems fine now and nothig was lost.
