What is MVCD

A friend tell me that there is other solution to ripp the DVD into VCD or SVCD. He said thats MVCD. Did anybody know about it.
It functions allegedly in the TMPGEnc.

MVCD is a new better Standard to ripp DVD into VCD or SVCD. You can Download the Files from the net and use it with TMPGEnc. The result is a better quality and you need lower Memory place. Search for it and find out the differences between VCD and MVCD. It´s great.

did search on google.com .. alot freanch sites came up .. but nothing about MVCD for DVD ripping..

I dont know of MVCD. I suspect its just another guy that changed the settings in Tmphenc to allow a movie to be burnt to 1 CD and at a reported "better" quality. They are NOT VCD's, they are just MPEG1 files that bear no resembalance to a VCD actually. There are many of these about with dedicated followers. I'm sure Jorel will tell us about KVCD at well

MVCD is also named MoleVCD. I have only a page in German. http://www.onecs.de/ and for Samples click to http://www.onecs.de/old_samples.htm
MVCD is a Template for TMPGEnc. With MVCD it is possible up to 130min. for highly soluble film in MPEG1 to burn on CD. The dissolutions of the Templates go from 352x288 (VCD) to 720x576 (DVD).

A friend ripped Spiderman from a DVD with TMPGEnc and the MVCD Templates. The resulution is is very good. A Excellent Quality on only one cd.

i can post a sample of kvcd!

i did kvcd of Sarah Brightman-La Luna (and others)
88 minutes with 192 audio mp2 480x480 in 1cdr (80 minutes).

i got very good results....i can call it "fantastic"!
my first steps in conversion at advanced(i'm not too advanced),
i learn with your tutorials ....you know..i ask tons !
learn a little more in doom9 with dvd2svcd and in kvcd forum.
Kwag (kvcd forum)is a very friendly person like you and thousands friends here and there,...Kwag help me too much with your templates and is a friend for me!

as you can see i encode audio in 192 and the video stills fantastic.....the "secret" is the filters and compression!

i like and want quality...for is the reason my first passes was with your tutorials!
and it all can be made with dvd2svcd program too!
the result of it all is a "sandwish" of genius ideas.
you all have my respect and admiration!

i have used the kvcd templates and found them to be very good, in saying that i use cvd templates so that at a later date when i eventually get a dvd burner i will not have to re encode as they are already in a dvd format

of course,without re encode is cool.

did you know that you can got 3 movies and burn in one dvd?
just a little diferences in quality!
