What drive unit is in this cd-rw

Hi
Does anybody know who supplies Freecom with the drive unit for there "17183 cd-rw 32w-10rw-40r internal ide drive.Has anybody tried to use clone cd with this baby with any sucess

Yep,the 32X looks identical,probably a Mitsumi too.It cannot do proper EFM encoding for SD2.Liteon is a better choice.;)

The 32x Freecom is NOT supported by Nero and many CDR programs. But there might be two different models of Freecom 32x CD-RW Drives. At least, one of them comes with it's own bundled software.
