What bruning program to make DVD's

Hi I was wondering what burning program you use to make DVD's? At the moment I am using Nero but would like to see what eles is out there and gives off the best results.

Your input on this would be helpful.

I to use Nero 5.5.x but you will now get 20 answers all suggesting different software. Use what WORKS for you. If it works 100% for you then nothing else can really be much better.

Thanks chickenman, can I ask why you have not opted to use the new version 6 of nero?

I heard that there is a program called fireburner or something of that nature I was wondering if anyone uses it at all?

I use nero too version 5.5.10.56 as per chickenmans guide for dvd creation unless its been updated as this is deemed as a stable build :)

but i only use it to burn a compiled dvd i made with DVDLAB or other :)

Yes, Nero 5.5.10.56 is the latest update in the 5.5 series of Nero. It is very stable indead and burns a perfect DVDR and like I said before, if it works 100%, why change. The latest Nero offers no more funtionallity than that version anyhow. Some people seem obsessed with must have and use the latest versions all the time, wether it works or not.

Thanks again for the info, I was thinking about roxio 7 but have had a heap of trouble installing it so I have gone back to using nero 6

Go smart- go Discjuggler. Might not be the easiest UI on earth, but as a burning machine it's ages ahead of the second best.

About the only thing that I ever use Disc Juggler for is SafeDisc backups and I have not done one of them for a while.
Then again, about the only thing I use Nero for is its aac encoder.
For audio CD's I use BurnAtOnce, for data DVD's I use DVDMate and for DVD video record now.

Guess you just gotta try to find a way to use every piece of installed software for something.
