Some time ago VOB software was bought out by Pinnacle and they promised that a new version of VOB Instant Copy under the Pinnacle name would be launched.

Well it's about to be launched and they claim that:-

Copy DVDs: Burn a 9GB, dual layer DVD video onto a standard 4.7 GB recordable disc.

and

Faster than real-film-time copying

Yep worked for me..put lord of rings (2Hrs 50 Min) on 4.7 gig dvd-r and still had all features and options (AWESOME) if a little slow..

Just started processing my first ever DVDR earlier after some DVD-R's arrived for my new burner. Ripped with DVD Decypter and gave up waiting after 10 mins with Instant Copy after I realised how long I would have to wait for either my first ever DVD or coaster.

Ended up doing it via DVD2one, burnt with Stomp and am very impressed indeed with that prog. A 2 hr film (Blues Brothers 2000) and it came out perfect. And it only took 18 mins with DVD2one too!

Now I can afford to be patient, I've got a nice list of DVD's to backup over the next few days.
