Vidomi + tutorial

I used the tutorial and i eventually ended up with two files one an AVI FILE AND ONE A SOUND FILE. hOW WOULD I GO ABOUT MERGING THE TWO.

Sorrt for the caps the button was pressed.

It's very strange that Vidomi can divide video and audio...
Any way, you can merge it with Nandub. It's quite same program like VirtualDub, but you can open mp3...
How? Take a look tutorials here on this forum or go to w*w.doom9.org

Strange that Vidomi produced the 2 separate files.

Anyway, just load the Video only AVI into Nandub. The in Audio tab, select (VBR)MP3 and when promted, select the audio file Vidomi produced. Set Audio to direct stream copy and Video to Direct stream copy, then in File, hit Save AVI. Done.

Thanx very much but there is one final problem i set the max size of file i want as 698mb but vidomi some times produces two files one 698 and one about 5mb and that is with 64kb a second of sound. Is there any way to go around this problem and make it only use the specified amount of data.

One final question.

Some of the divx films i create with Vidomi the sound is always about two seconds ahead of the actual video is there a workaround ?

This is ony in some films

I would just add that you can just encode the movie in whatever codec you like (xvid, divx 3.11, divx 4.x, divx 5.x) and do not do the sound with vidomi.
This step is a little longer but always works (if doing it from vob/dvd rips). Just save the sound with dvd2avi (that process is mentioned in some of the other tutorials) and then use nandub again to merge as steps mentioned by others here with video direct stream copy and sound direct stream copy.
