Vidomi Batch Encoding Problem

g'day all

I am using Vidomi to convert my .vob files to one 700mb cd. Everything works except that when I add about 4 jobs to the queue, Vidomi will encode the first 17% of the first job and stop. The weird thing is that the elapsed time in the status window keeps on rolling, so the program can't be freezing.

I would suggest using VirtualDub/VirtualDubMod instead. Simply setup the first pass without audio, add it to the job list, set up the second with audio, add it and then add any additional encodes.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Can VDub convert dvd to xvid?

VDub can convert to XviD AVI's and VDubMod can convert to XviD AVI's, OGM's and MKV's.

Can't convert a DVD directly though, well actually VDubMod can open VOB's however you would be better off using DVD2AVI to save out a d2v for the video and demux the audio if needed. Then frameserve the video with AVISynth and convert the audio using say BeSweet to be muxed on the second pass.

Can use XviD's built in calculator for the second pass file size to.

Could try something more automated like GKNot or AutoGKnot, but unfortunatly neither support devapi4 builds of XviD.

Actually VDub can open AVI's, MPEG1 MPG's and AVISynth scripts, that is about it. There are also versions that add ASF and MPEG2 support. You can however use AVISynth with directshowsource() to get just about anything in.
