Video Editing Software Suggestion

Hey there,
What are some good software out there that is good for video editing. Im looking for something to edit videos taken from a camcorder, but im not familiar with whats good and whats not. Suggestions are welcome.

Did a search on the forums for Video Vegas, but the links were'nt working. Also what software is good for adding effects to videos? such as titles etc.

loads to choose from: Vegas Video as u say, Ulead Media studio pro, Adobe Premiere,Blade,Pinnacle DV,speed razor,videowave,powerdirector pro to name but a few..
some of these programs do have a built in titler, but there are seperates that u can use...Title Dekko Pro is one that springs to mind.... hope this info helps... and i am certain that other forum users will provide some extra input for u....
