video cassette to dvd

I would like to transfer my video cassettes to dvd. Could the board recomend a program to do this that produces good quality.

Tryed easy cd dvd 6 no good. and power director. locks up intermitently.
Any help thanks

Hi bud,I've had good success with Sonic My DVd.It's kind of a basic program,and easy to use.I captured mpeg2 in realtime(home movies) with my ATI AIW card,and converted to dvd with Sonic.

Some vhs commercial tapes are copy protected with Macrovision.They are more complicated to deal with.
