Video capturing??

For all you video people!!!!!!!!!!:) :cool: :D Got a p4 2.53 ghz,533 bus,512 ram......Need some small and simple proggy for capturing my satellite signall to hd.....Which app would you recommend it and which format???Couse im gonna watch with tv-out,so i dont wanna record it and transfer to (s)vcd??....If its any proggy like ..vcr-type...just few clicks and done...It would be nice also((not necessary) if its got some scheduller--so i can setup a recording in advance--if im not at home at that time!!!!Card is nvidia g4 mx 440(msi)or i might got some different one do not know for sure yet--got to try this one first!!!

amcap.exe is just for dv interfaces and it won´t let you schedulle your recordings.

They have a great app that works with everything that has wdm drivers and if I´m not mistaken it can do everything that you want.

Assuming your video card has s-video connector and your sound card has stereo line in you should be able to use WinDVR. You would not use a tv tuner or composite connections which would only downgrade the satelite signal You can set up WinDVR to record in VCD, SVCD, DVD, or anything in between with their custom settings. AVI is an option as well I think.
