vhs to vcd

Converted a 87 min vhs tape -video 352 x 240 ntsc[525] 6.00 mbit\second audio 44.100 khz 16 bit stereo,makes excellent non standard vcd but is 3.94 gb in size ,to many cd's is there any way to make off standard cd that plays on most dvd's and does not take to many cd's, and holds the quality i converted it to regular standard vcd would use 1.5 80min cd's but there is some grainie blocks in it any ideas???

Since its 87min long, you should be able to convert to SVCD and it will fit to 2 CD's. Use pic size of 352x480 and TMPGEnc default data rate.

If you convert to std VCD, then using TMPGEnc, tick Soften Block Noise and try with default settings of 35/35 or increase to 50 or 60. Then the pic will not be grainy.
 
I ticked soften blocks n noise but i could not see botom of page to change settings to 35/35why does it not fit on page
