VCDeasy vs. Nero

Hi all,

can anyone please tell me which one between VCDeasy and Nero (with plugin) is the best choice for burning standard compliant SVCDs ?
To day I've been using Nero and it seems to work well, but perhaps there are better choices out there.
So, should I stick with Nero or should I switch to VCDeasy?

Thanks :)

If you want only to burn then Nero is ok, but if you want to convert too don´t use Nero. The Nero plugin (mpeg encoder) is unacceptable, if you want some movies with quality.

I would not touch Nero myself for burning/authoring SVCD's, OK for VCD's just carp for SVCD's.

VCD Easy is way better, it is FREE and with the latest "1.1.4b" update works very well. Does depend what burner you are using and whether the CDRDao component is fully compatible with it though.

Lotally agree with Laz, Nero is crap when it comes to SVCD, fantastic for VCD and DVDR though. Nero will do the burning ok, the movie though has lots of playback problems on your DVD Player, such as cant Fast Forward, Rewind, jump chapters, re-play, etc, etc. All or many of the usual User funtions disappear unfortunately.

VCDEasy on the other hand seams to make the most compatable SVCD burnt CD's, so highly recommend it.

Thank you for your suggestions :)
My burner is a Plextor 24/10/40A and works pretty well, so far. I'll give VCDEasy a try, I hope it's not too complicate to use :)

Bye
