VCDeasy fails me

Followed chickenmans tutorial step by step ripping a dvd to svcd using vcdeasy. After I inserted al settings, I got an error that said
failed to locate writer driver?? I was using Nero and had no problems at all. Is this a Winxp issue, or vcdeasy? I have an LG 8024.

Aspi 4.71 is installed

Aspi 4.71 is installed. Any other suggesstions?

Nero running as TSR?

CloneCD disabled, IMAPI disabled, Nero running as TSR?

Aspi check:
Aspi32.sys version 4.7
Wowpost.exe: version 4.6 (1021)
Winaspi.dll: version 4.6 (1021)
Wnaspi32.dll: version 4.7

Lakeside, get rid of aspi version 4.7 altogether and install v4.60.
U can use force aspi (doing a search in this forum).
Hit ctrl alt delete and see if nero or any other cdwriting software is running in the background. If they are, close them.
But if you had no problems with nero before, then just use it.

Thanks shadow. I'll give Aspi 4.6 a go and see what happens.
BTW, no other cdwriting programs running.

Installed Aspi 4.6 but I'm still getting errors. Thanks for the helpful tips :D Back to good ole' Nero ;)

VCDEasy still fails me :mad: Tested Nero Vision Express and runs like a charm ;)

There is a link in the vcdeasy program for u to check your burner.
If your burner is not there then choose the driver used for another model of the same make.
I did and now I'm making chapters in all my vcds and burning with vcdeasy!

You have to use the "Force Driver" settings, and you have to go to the "VcdEasy" site to find out which driver to use to enable your CD-RW Drive...it is usually the one of the generic drivers...

lAKESIDE I use nero express all the time, never have any problems.....X- cross my fingers now for opening my mouth.lol
