vcd to svcd?

Hi

I have file in mpeg1 format. I would like to convert it to svcd is that possible?

Unless you can't play it in VCD format, I wouldn't.... you can only LOSE by re-encoding, so you can't make it "SVCD quality".

Check the tutorials, you'd basically end up ripping from the vcd (or demuxing the MPEG if required)

NB. At the moment, you have the benefit of the doubt - if you downloaded from a dodgy source - we'd rather not know!

Gotta agree, can't think of any good reason to convert.

However if you do want to do it, I would suggest that you demultiplex the audio, frameserve the video via AVISynth to CCE for encoding and then multiplex your old audio with the new video.
