VCD & SVCD Trobles!

Hey guys once again I need help with somthing. Ok look I'm makeing VCD's & SVCD's from my Mpeg 1 and 2 files, but when I take them to my dvd player to play them some of the files flick and have no color. Is there a program that might help me covert mpg files with a codec or somthing becuase I have no clue whats going on. I think it's the codecs but I'm not sure any ideas?

As joripe said, read the tutorials on how to do it. No MPG codec required as built into Windows.

No all DVD Players will playback VCD's or SVCD's and many will only read from certain brands of CDR's (some only from CDRW's)

Also, slow your burn speed down for VCD's and SVCD. Most people only burn at 4x or 8x to get perfect results.

if you trawl around some of the other sites there are sample clips to download and burn to VCD and SVCD, if these work its probably you, if they dont, then its probably the playa
hope this helps

As Joripe said it was basicly the "Bible" thanx guys you were alot of help. Now one more thing when I go in to Nero 5582 to burn the file/files i get a thing like " The file XXXXXXXX is not a valid file for creating a standerd Video CD V2.0 (CD-I Player)" What dose that mean?
