is there a tutorial or software avaiable for converting multiple vcd disk films and putting them on to 1 dvd disk with help with the joining up of files etc just had a dvd writer for xmas and want to try it out thanks for any advice [ done a search cant seem to find any rellevant posts ]

Yep I got one for Christmas also, the Pioneer A05
There is no all in one simple conversion program available as of yet. But for VCD's you can do this (somewhat simplified):
Join the mpg's together with TPGEnc
Demux the new mpg with TMPGenc to video and audio streams
Convert the 44.1khz mp2 stream to 48khz AC3 with Headac3e

hi thanks for that will give it a go and post any probs and results . i also got a A05 good drive but hard to find media it likes am using traxdata disks at moment they seem fine but only at 1x have you any personnel recomendations also tried superior disks as they work at 2x thanks again regards
