Vcd convert using powerCDR Express can not run in windows media player in winme OS

i have done all the step to convert dvd to vcd. my problem is the vcd can not be open using window media player or other apllication. I,m using winme Os. but when i use windows media player in winXP, it can run and also it can be open in vcd player. can anybody tell me what the possible way to over come this. thanx.

apply "Windows Update" to get the current versions of Media Player and Media Player Codecs
or install a 3rd party software like PowerDVD or WinDVD;

VCD's are just mpeg1 though and win me comes with an mpeg1 decoder.

Could also try Media Player Classic, which has built in MPEG1, 2 and MPEG audio decoding.

thank for helping. right now i have solve my problem using nero which can convert vcd easily and can play vcd in any media player or other application in diffrent OS. Thank a lot.

@ zaper Nero is one of the worst encoders to make (S)VCD use the tutes by Chicken Man for better results & if I remember rightly U can play the individual movies files on the VCD with most media players.
