Using Nero

I am having trouble burning movies that I have downloaded to CD-Rs. It tells me that the burning process was competed, but when I try to watch them in the DVD player it tells me that the disc is unreadable. I don't know what I am doing wrong, please help. Also I would like to know how to split a big movie file so I can download it on two discs, or if I need to change something so I can put it on one disc.

Firstly U got the movies from a dubious source then U put them on CDR & they wont play in your DVD player

What are U burning to CDR Avi,mpeg,VCD,SVCD or whatever

Did U check the movies were OK before U burned em
