User access problems help please!

I'm having problems with accessing some folders. I cannot access allusers\documents. I'm logged on as the administrator, this is the only account on the computer, but it still won't let me access it. I'm trying to install stuff but it won't work as it needs access to this folder. Can anyone help me on this!? I'm on XP Home by the way. Thanks!
 
right click the folder, go to properties and open the security tab,
click add and doubleclick the user you want to give access and click ok,
then check allow - full control for that user and press ok
(not 100% sure as i only use win2k)
you should be able access the folder then

You can also Take Ownership - then you have the rights, and it is yours as well (if there is no other user on the system who needs it).
