Upgrade to Athlon MP 2000+

Hello,

I've just upgraded my MB and processor to an Asus A7M266-D running one Athlon MP 2000+ (getting another in a couple of months), and 512Mb DDR memory. I had to reinstall Windows XP pro, which works fine, however every time I try to burn a CD (using Nero 5.5.9.0 and a Toshiba SD-R1002 DVD ROM/CD-RW) Nero and then the system freezes about 5% into the burn process. I've tried burning through the Windows built in burning utility and this fails also.

All the latest drivers and BIOS updates are installed.

I would be grateful for any suggestions:)

yes, conflict between roxio & nero is more likely the problem.
I would suggest disabling the built in roxio burning engine crap & installing aspi layer 4.60 & then installing nero again =).
Ofcourse this has been talking about many times, so all the tools you will need are in here already.
