Updating Tutorials

Hey ChickenMan :)

I like your tutorials alot, always produce top quality results. :) Is it possible that u could do an update on your tutorials? It's been almost half a year and some of the softwares that are use are in newer version and have some new features and changes in the setting.

I tried out one of your tutorials "How to convert your DivX's to DVD±R", I downloaded DVD2SVCD 1.1.3 Build 2 bundle instead of DVD2SVCD 1.1.0 Build 1c. After I followed closely to your tutorial when I run SpruceUp to add my *.mpv file, it says "Illegal Picture Resoulation for DVD-Video" :( I'm going to try all over again tonight if it dont work I'll wait for updated version. :)

Thanks :)

Yes it has been to long between updates, I have just been busy thats all. I will endever to updatethem in the next week or 2. Sorry for the delay.

Make sure you have in Misc tab, Advanced selected. Then in Avisynth tab, make sure "Resize To" selects DVD.

ChickenMan tutorials are easy enough for newbies to follow but with pics will be a big PLUS :D

btw ChickenMan, I have manage to convert it to DVD-Video with SpruceUp. But when i burn to DVD with Nero, it says "DVD-Video files realloaction failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable." but i still continue burning it. I playback on my dvd-rom and dvd-player with no problem. wonders what is wrong with "files realloaction failed".....

Hey ChickenMan :)

Regard your tutorial on "How to convert your DivX's to DVD±R", I got a small problem on 1 of the setting  I can't check the box next to Convert divx3 to divx4 :(

That box is NOT greyed out if you have DivX3.11 installed. If you havent and the avi was originally encoded with DivX 3.11 and it plays fine on your PC, then your DivX 5.0x is being used for playback and will also be used for the conversion process. So dont worry about it.

As for the TMPGEnc DVD Author error, again, ignor it. You will note that it says the current Video bitrate is 9800 kbs. This is not true as in the Tute I have set it to 9000 MAX. And 9000 + 192 is less than the 9800 max total specified for a DVD.

Thanks ChickenMan :) btw what's the use of doing "Chapters cut edit" is it necessary to do or only for easy forward from chapter to chapter

I know of no DVD that does NOT have Chapters. Most people use them for quick fast forwarding and jumping to special parts within the movie. While I and most people would consider including Chapters as an essential part of a DVD, it is not essential for the operation of a DVD. If you dont want them, dont include them.
