Having been a lurker, the time has come to introduce myself and seek help with a problem concerning my Pioneer DVR-A07D.
My partner and I create educational DVDs. Output is seriously small (one or two discs a month) but we have been problem-free in the burning department since Day 1 three years ago (then a Pioneer DVR-A03) on a Dell Dimension 8100 Pentium 1.8GHz.
Recently we upgraded to an ASUS Pentium 3.0GHz with a Pioneer DVR-107D. Everything works great with one big exception. DVDs burned on the new system play back just fine on computers but aren't recognized by dedicated DVD players. This is a major league problem that has hit our cash flow very hard.
The blank DVDs are the same batch that worked just fine with the previous system. Swapping the old A03 for the A07 gives the very same result. The firmware is the most recent (1.16). The drive is properly set as the master drive on a dedicated cable connected to the motherboard's secondary ATAPI port.
The NeroHistory.log file for the most recent session follows. All suggestions for a fix will be gratefully received. Thanks for reading.
