1.- I have captured a VHS musical using ATI AIW 8500DV, 8.0 bitrate, mpeg2 file system and obtained a 5.4 GB file.
2.- I imported it to Ulead Movie Factory, but when I went to EDIT section and asked for CLIP PROPERTIES, the software only reports 1.4 GB length and when I try to play using Ulead player it goes up to minute 21, then stops....
3.- I converted that file to a *.d2v file and then to *.avi by VFAPI codec and Ulead can read the complete pseudo-avi produced by that codec, which is smaller than 4.0GB...
4.- Playing with TMPEGEnc software, using the DVD wizard and changing settings I received a message that when the produced mpeg2 file is larger than 4.09x GB it can not be recognized properly by authoring softwares.. etc...
So, considering findings 3 & 4, does anybody know from sure if the message given by TMPEGEnc has any relation with the Ulead Movie Factory behaviour??
P.S. I was able to capture to whole musical using Ulead MPEG capture plugin with settings that produced a 1.4 GB file, but for sure TMEPG quality is far much better...
The whole idea is to use Ulead software to convert from an mpeg2 file toi a DVD structure (VIDEO_TS folder with *.vob, *.buf, etc...)
