Could this be what all we UK countryside dwellers have been waiting for?

That would take us back to the days of 1998 metered access, as ryan says read the small print you will see local call charges apply, as well as £99 setup with another £23 (odds) thrown on per month.

I think I'll wait for broadband just yet!

I realsie that about the local charge, but you can use your existing ISP. For instance mine is the usual £13.99 a month Unlimited package so it will not cost me, still works out at only a couple of quid more than BT BB guys. ;)

If you have Sky Digital like myself then they just route the SAT connection onto that. The £99 fee is not bad either IMHO, look at how much you pay to get connected on average to cable or standard ADSL and what you have to pay for the modem. A similar company has started and their set-up fee starts at £399!!!

If you live in a town or have access to BB you forget how desperate us countryside dwellers are ya know, and this IMO does represent very good value for money when you consider the alternative.....56K dial-up! :D :p :D

Yep, think so m8 as it's a 64K upload speed. That is the one problem with SAT of course but should still be just about OK for online gaming though.

what i don't get why do you need to use the phone line aswell ? and would that not stop incomming calls ? i had a quick look on the BT brodband web site and looked at my trigger levels which are at 250/400 which is not bad so this may be avalible around the same time at the dish one
