Turn Off problem in Win XP Home Edition

When I turn off my Pc, Start>Turn Off Computer...>Turn Off
Windows is shutting down, then, appear end tasking Windows Eplorer, if I hit the Cancel button it's shutting down, If not, it's shutting down by himself but after a while!!!!!!!
What can I do!!!
In windows 98 i got a shutdown patch but now I don't have anything!
Remember all yo, I have WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION installed, not PRO!

Have you installed ms hotfixes?

Is clear pagefile on shutdown enabled?

Do you have a nvidia graphics card and The Nvidia helper service enabled?

KIll hung apps at shutdown:
Copy paste in notepad and rename with .reg extension

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop]
"AutoEndTasks"="1"
"HungAppTimeout"="5000"
"WaitToKillAppTimeout"="5000"


Service timeout tweak:
Start Regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.
Click on the "Control" Folder.
Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"
Right click on it and select Modify.
Set it to a value lower than 2000
