trouble with svcd/mpg video/sound out of sync

ok, i downloaded these movies in svcd formats (mostly in 2 or 3 CD's per movie), before i knew that i could burn them to svcd,

1/ i used to extract the bin/cue to mpg via vcdgear, and

2/ then joined the extracted mpgs together with tmpgenc.

Well, when i finally got to watch them movies, the sound from the second and third cd's are all out of sync with the video; but the first cd is ok.

So is there anyway i can fix that out of sync problem?

Also, i downloaded some movies that are in a different language; is there any program to translate it back to english? i suspect the answer is no but i guess it doesnt hurt to ask.

I guess if you knew exactly where to cut it back into three pieces you could fix it. TMPGEnc definatly has problems joining SVCD's although I hear it is ok if you join the audio and video seperatly and then multiplex.

As for the translating, I don't think that they have quite invented the universal translator yet.

If you have the original SVCDs around, it'll probably be easier to just redo them. Otherwise, like CD says, you'll need to find the spots to cut them apart again.

GRRRRR!! that sounds like i have to find the movie to dl again in xvid or divx format lol; for a newbie in video editing like me, it'll take me much much longer to figure out to work it
