Trillian turns heat on leaked beta versions!

Looks like Cerulean Studios is pretty mad about the person who leaked their beta-version...
Also, NO NOT DOWNLOAD AND USE the leaked version, it will send your IP to their server and ban it, also I don't know if they will also send any personal info about you, so beware!

Also for the webmaster, you may wanna delete your link to trillian leaked on the mainpage... it's not worth it having your IP banned. :(
Also besides IP, there may some other info being sent to the server. Can anybody do some research on what is being sent to the server?
Any info will be great :)

You send the following infos :/http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/bconnector.php?id=x&ma=y&mi=z]. And in response you receive one number : 1 or 2

There is indeed 2 cases.
Case "1" : continue to run Trillian.
Case "2" : uninstall Trillian

LOL now i read this. trillian is my favorite IM program. when i saw that news link on the main page i drooled over it and installed it. hehe seems as im banned from their site now :(

Well, it seems that I never get that message on my screen, it appear the first time, but don't allow me to continue running it, after that, everytime I run Trillian again, it will just DISAPPEAR! :mad:

Anywayz, I'm very glad that I'm using a dial-up, :)
They don't block the whole IP range. Only single IP I presume.
Went back to .723 and things seems fine now. :(

Well, my problem is that what did this thing actually sent to the Trillian Servers? They can be anything, Windows Key, your name, OS version... etc. Anyone get a packet sniffer will sure help a lot on this one ;)

Don't understand very well, this problems It's only whit the new leaked version (1.0 beta) but not whit the las official one (0.73) or it's for all versions?

Information about the next version of Trillian

I don't think it's any secret that the next version of Trillian is under development. There are a lot of rumors (some true and some not true) rolling around on the internet and many have felt the need to post them here.

Any information that is on the internet is there in direct violation of an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). Therefore, any information that is posted here on the forums will be deleted.

Scott and Kevin want to keep anything they are working on as secret as possible untill they are ready to officially release the information. Let's all respect their wishes by not posting it on the forums.

I think they also want to link deleted from the mainpage of CDRSoft, well as me too, don't want user messing with that link, or download the leaked trillian, which is not good, and maybe they are going to make a suprise so they don't want anyone messing with it ;)
O wellz...I think the next trillian will be also going pay too if I'm not wrong :mad:
