i bought some transmission fluid at walmart for my car....super tech 80W-90 GL-5....but i looked in my manual and it says for me to get some GL-4....i was wondering if anyone would know what API GL-4/GL-5 means and what the difference is between them??..
Could be like the difference between Ford and GM tranny fluids - I dont know what kind of vehicle you have, so I'd use what it recommends to avoid losing any warranty you might have. Also, why not call the local car dealer and ask the service dept.?
