Tony Hawks Underground Won't Play

hey im having trouble playing a game i'm trying to back up, Tony Hawks Underground, it just doesn't want to work on my PS2, all my other games have worked fine e.g smackdown here comes the pain, need for speed underground but tony's doesn't seem to,
i've tried copying it exactly using recordnow DX on dvd-r, and dvd-rw, both didnt work, i've tried on dvd-rw with nero 6, didn't work, even made an iso file from it and tried burning with nero 6 and didn't work again, is there some sort of protection on the game or something, The disk appears like it's going to play, as in the playstation 2 logo comes up, then everything goes black.
i'm in australia by the way, using imation dvd-rw and imation dvd-r, pioneer dvd r/rw burner, if that helps.

Could be a media issue

I normally burn my backups on one brand of media, however I have had a couple of instances in the past when this media did not want to boot (or booted & skipped) certain games. I re-burned the game image onto another (and to be honest, slightly better) brand of media, and this resolved my problem

Yeh ur probly rite cos i was doin it on a rw, and burnt another game on the same rw and worked fine, so ill try another brand or sumthin,
