TMPGEnc Plus Help

Okay, I'm trying to convert MPEG2 to DivX and I'm just testing with a clip but I keep getting two loud pops in the same place, which isn't there in the MPEG2 clip. Doesn't matter what compression I use or if I just convert to MPEG-1. Any help would be appreciated.

hmmmmm. Maybe load the mpeg 2 file into virtualdub/nandub & save the sound to wav first. Then load the movie into tmpgenc & then load the sound from the new wav you just made.

You have not mentioned how your converting the MPEG2 to DivX ! A little more info there could help.

Have you tried Vidomi for the conversion, just load MPEG2 file in, then follow the DVD to DivX tutorial in the Tutorial section.
