hi when i'm converting standard mpeg 1 in tmpgenc dvd author it authors them sometimes then other times it just freezes the computer up any answers thanks

Sure you don't mean that you convert the mpeg 1 file to DVD using TMPGEnc Plus?

You need to do that first then author the mpeg 2 files to DVD using TMPGEnc DVD Author.

yes iv'e already converted them from avi to mpeg 1 then i need to author it to get it on to dvd sometimes it authors them other times it frezzes the whole computer up and also sometimes reboots system any help

Sorry but I really am confused now. You still need to convert these files in TMPGEnc Plus or similar to DVD first then author after converting in DVD Author. Can I ask why you did not just encode the avi file to mpeg 2 in the first place? Much easier then you simply only have to author using DVD Author.

What did you use to convert the AVI's to MPEG1 ? Are you sure they are complaint VCD mpeg1 files, if not TMPGEnc DVD Author is liable to do anything.

Another easy to use authoring tool is DVDLab, give that a try. If the PC doesnt buck then stay with it.

i've got an and athlon 2400 xp+ which runs at 2.0ghz i've since lowered that down to 1.8ghz and that seems to do have done the trick nice one
