TMPGEnc DVD Author just "stops"??

Have used TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 to convert avis into MPEG-2s .

When using TMPGEnc DVD Author (versions 1.5.20 and 1.6) I get to add tracks, build menu, etc... but when the final page comes and I hit BEGIN OUTPUT the app just ceases to be - it disappears without an error, leaving me with empty Audio_TS and Video_TS folders.

System is Windows XP Pro with SP2 applied - error is reproducable on Windows Server 2003.

I found this issue on another forum, but all the reply posts were "I got that too, WTF??" with no actual solution...

Anybody seen this one?

Only time I have ever heard of anything like that was with a poorly cracked version, but I'm sure no one here would have a cracked version.

I'm having absolutely no issues with my registered copy of TMPGEnc DVD Author. If your having problems, may I suggest DVDLab as an alternative. Does everything TDA does + lots more.
