Tmpgenc DVD Author & DVD2SVCD

I followed Chicken Mans guide to converting AVI files to DVD. after it is converted with DVD2SVCD using CCE as the encoder I then use the Besweet to change it to an AC3 file for the audio (bitrate 192) When I add the pulldown file into Tmpgenc DVD Author and then manually add the AC3 file Besweet made it "ALWAYS" throws an error of the combined bitrate ot the audio file and the video file exceeds the standard DVD complaint format (paraphrase) Then it asks do I want to ignore it. If I say ignore it it still burns converts it just fine. But I still would like it to be compliant I think it said 9982 or something like that mine is always like 10082+/- Is there anyway around this as far as getting it to stay within being compliant before it gets to DVD author. Obviously the setting would be in DVD2SVCD I would imagine? Any ideas? Thanks

snedman, welcome to the forum.

A number of people have raised that error message before. Yet many, like myself, have never seen that error message. However, there are 2 simple solutions.

1. Ignore the error as it still produces dvd compliant VOB files.

2. In DVD2SVCD/Encoder/Advanced just untick the DVD Compliant box.

Possible solution

I had a same problem(message)when i was converting avi(divx)to svcd...What i did was a reduce bitrate..For example from 192 to 160...Its just an example, not sure if it works for dvd,but it worked for svcd with cce2.50 as encoder...You could give it a try-as cm said take you a minut or so.....Just cut one 30 sec piece of avi with virtual dub and try it..Here is a nice and simple guide with vdub for cut&join avis...Beats all those comercial cutters :) It`s so easy and simple-and works flawless-makes you think who is byuing those commercials choppers-joiners... :p http://www.polarhome.com:793/~afonic/avichop.htm
